Brain Enhancement (BE) Mindful TherapyCongratulations on your silver book award!

Synopsis

Brain Enhancement (BE) Mindful Therapy is a method created by Dr. Oscar J. Harp III, clinical psychologist, to enhance cognitive function, improve physical performance, and manage psychological disorders through mindfulness and de-stressing techniques. BE Mindful Therapy is a psychological growth method emphasizing the development of a BE-Mindful mind capable of great possibilities. By focusing on a mental representation of an object in the Here and Now (H&N) and attempting to ignore external and internal distractions, this neuroplastic, meditative method allows for effective de-stressing. It aims to reduce stress and provide a cognitively enriched environment (EE), resulting in positive neuroplastic change.

BE Mindful Therapy’s “Let’s Mindergize” integrates mental and physical health by combining mindfulness principles with aerobic exercise. It emphasizes how exercise boosts mental well-being by reducing stress and increasing energy while lowering anxiety and depression. This approach underscores the mind-body connection for overall wellness. Because stress is an unavoidable daily occurrence, De-stressing theory, which underpins BE Mindful therapy, stresses the importance of incorporating daily de-stressing practices into one’s routine. When a patient’s stressors outweigh their de-stressors, their Stress Load is out of balance and leads to physical damage and chronic psychological stress. Chronic stress is a prolonged and constant feeling of stress that is associated with hypertension, heart disease, strokes, and kidney ailments. It plays a significant role in the development and progression of age-related cognitive decline, as well as a variety of mental health disorders.
