What is your book about?

It is a dad seeking sobriety, redemption, and connection memoir.  When dad comes home from his temp job to find his wife has left with their daughter, he is faced with the reality his addiction has destroyed his life. As weeks of sobriety pass, he is still not able to be involved in his daughter’s life. His thoughts of using increase when he realized her mom is still using. In order to protect his daughter and reinforce their bond, he must fight his demons, his wife’s irresponsible choices, and a legal system that shows bias toward gender.

What inspired you to write your book?

The opportunity to serve parents seeking sobriety. It’s a story of hope to inspire them to be in their child(ren)’s lives.

If you have a business related to your book, tell us about it:

I perform sound healing sessions with a focus on 528Hz Solfeggio frequencies that help addicts.

What is a typical day like for you?

Creating and posting on social media, interacting with influencers, checking Amazon rankings, finding podcasts to be on, finding bookstores to get my book in, sharing with other authors what I’m learning.

What do you most enjoy about what you do?

That it is the outcome of faith, of trusting God (my Higher Power), of asking for and relying on supportive souls, and that I get to be creative.

What are some favorite books you’d recommend to our readers?

My Fair Junkie by Amy Dresner, Bird by Bird by Anne Lammott, and The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron.

What advice do you have to offer our readers?

You’re never too old to be reminded that the answer is always no until you ask.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

My guitar is on display at the Punk Rock Museum in Las Vegas, NV.

What’s next for you?

Because many readers of Hide and Seek have asked what happened to my daughter and her relationship with her mom, I’m writing a sequel.
